A GRAND STAND for the Environment Inc. presents:
Who’s telling the truth about Climate Change?
The media is full of claims and counter claims about the reality and impact of climate change. Scientists, industry leaders and politicians all seem to be at loggerheads about what, if anything, needs to be done.
Meteorologist David Karoly in conversation with
Social Psychologist Yoshihisa Kashima
Together David and Yoshi explore the personal journey of coming to accept that climate change is happening and why we, and our leaders, have trouble doing enough about it.
David Karoly: Professor of Meteorology at Melbourne University and specialist in climate change science was involved in the preparation of the Fourth Assessment Report of the Inter-governmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) released in 2007.
Yoshihisa Kashima: Professor of Psychological Sciences at Melbourne University explores how the stories we tell ourselves shape how we respond to the challenge of climate change.
Thursday, July 28th - 7.30pm to 9.30pm, Refreshments from 7.00pm.
Manningham Function Centre - Level 1, room 2, 699 Doncaster Road, Doncaster

The service is every Sunday at 10.30 at TUC except the last Sunday of
the month. We are happy for people to roster themselves on as much or as little as they like. It would just be great to have some people help out and support this growing community.
