Manningham Uniting Churches worshipping on the way together

TUC Banner Group creates banners reflecting the seasons of the church year and themes interwoven with our worship.

Love God              Love your neighbour

Services of Worship

The central aspect of our lives as Jesus’ followers is our gathering as a community to worship God. In worshipping we seek to know and be known by God, our deepest human yearning, through prayer, music, reflection on scripture and our life experience.

Central to our worship are the ancient Christian rites of Holy Communion and Baptism.

Regular and continuing lay participation in the services is a TUC tradition.

Sunday Services

Sunday services are held at 10.00 am.

Team-led Worship

Our worship is led by teams of Lay members and Elders at least once a month. All are invited to participate in planning and conducting these services.

Worship Committee

A small committee meets regularly to plan the Sunday services. The committee welcomes input on the form and content of the worship services.

Seasons

Our liturgical year includes special times such as the Season of Creation, a six-week season during September-October.

Eucharist

Celebration of the Eucharist or "Holy Communion" takes place at the Sunday service on the first Sunday of the month, and on other occasions of significance to our Congregation.

Baptism

Enquiries about Baptism can be made to the minister 9846 1285. Requests for Baptism are brought to the Church Council by the minister.

Lectionary What's This?

It's a list of readings from the Bible we will use in our worship services.

You can find a commentary on these readings in "With Love to the World."  Click here for more information > With Love to the World

Contemporary Worship

Contemporary worship services are held on Sunday evenings at Uniting churches in the Manningham region. Originating at Doncaster East Uniting Church (DEUC), the services provide another format differing from "traditional" worship services. The services are open to anyone (young and not so young) who is interested in contemporary worship! Contemporary services are also held at Pilgrim Uniting Church at 11.00 am on Sundays.

Manningham Uniting Churches Worshipping on the Way Together

Manningham Uniting Churches are holding combined worship services on special occasions e.g. Christmas carol service, Maundy Thursday service, Season of Creation, Advent.
